Removing the Sceadu Evo 50 tail gearbox

First, remove the vertical fin by undoing the two fixing bolts.

Now there are seven bolts holding the tail gearbox assembly onto the boom. Remove all of these being careful not to lose the nuts from the back of each bolt. Once the seven bolts have been undone, the casing can be split to reveal the inner workings and the belt.

Notes

The tail gearbox housing on the tail rotor assembly side has a small plastic moulded protrusion on the inside front edge, which the tail boom locks into, and holds the tail gearbox assembly in the correct orientation when mounted to the heli.
