Working on a helicopter's tail assembly elements usually involves needing to remove the boom. This task is made incredibly easy on the Trex 600n due to the design of the tail assembly.
The first job is to undo the screws attaching the main tailboom housing case to the main frames. There are six of these on either side of the helicopter. You will also need to remove the tailboom brace mounting screws too, one on each side of the helicopter.

With those screws removed, the tailboom assembly is ready to be removed from the body. The things holding it in place now are four plastic lugs, two on either side of the heli, sticking out of the tailboom housing case and through the holes in the sideframes.

Gently prising the frames apart will allow the lugs to pull out of the slots and, with all four lugs popped out, the tailboom assembly can be pulled away from the body.
Refitting the boom is simply a case of reversing the above steps. Slot the lugs into the frames first, then position the tailboom braces and finally, screw all the screws back in place. Use CA glue on the screws into plastic and blue threadlock on screws/bolts into metal.
